Bowlegged and Saddlesore
Mark just sent this picture from Colorado of the Es bowlegged and saddlesore after horseback riding. Isn't it cute? I started to ask permission to post it but decided to wait and ask forgiveness, if necessary. I haven't seen the girls in two whole weeks, so I love the pictures he sends. They've started home now and should be spending the night in Salina by now.
I took Mother to Spring and Jacob's coffeehouse for lunch today. Stephanie and her mother were just leaving, and Freeda and Terri were there, and Mark and Lisa's next door neighbors came in right after we did. It was the happening place! Spring made me a wonderful frappe with skim milk and sugar-free chocolate syrup, and it was just as good as the ones at Starbucks that have as much fat as a Big Mac! They were doing great business, and things seemed to be going smoothly. I'm so glad they're running it. We needed another place in town to eat!
My baby boy is 34 today. I called him tonight, and he seemed real happy. He had a good birthday because he only had to work until noon and then they took him out to lunch and he went home and took a nap. I think Charlie's keeping him a little sleep-deprived, but of course he's worth it! I just wish they lived closer...

Awwww - Happy Birthday, Jodie - Kathy, do you know what's weird? Remember when we came to Green Forest to that camp? It's just right down the street from us now - isn't that weird? What was Jodie? 12?

All I remember is that Nathan was 5 and I taught him to tie his shoes while we were there.
