THE WELL

The Well is coming, and I'm excited! Spring and Mark gave it its name, and Mark "branded" it. (I hope you're impressed with that new vocabulary word--it means he designed the logo.)

The three of us, and sometimes Darrell, have been meeting regularly to discuss and pray about it. We don't have all the details yet, but Spring is ready to present what we DO know so far at 6 p.m. next Sunday. Here are a couple of reasons why I think it's worthy of your time--

*Jesus said, "Who needs a doctor: the healthy or the sick? I'm here inviting outsiders-- not insiders--an invitation to a changed life, changed inside and out." Annette recently heard a speaker say that the church is the only institution that exists for others, not for its own members! It's not a social club for the "in crowd," but the place "outsiders" can come to find salvation and healing and friendship and belonging.

*At the Worship Institute last week, we saw the Spirit of God come down in an amazing way, and all nine of us were broken and ignited with new passion. We want that same experience to come to FBC! The people who come to The Well will come with problems that have made them humble. God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble. I think if the Holy Spirit is ever going to break out in our church, it will happen at The Well. Just my opinion!

Tomorow Joe and I are going to Cabot to help Ginger set up her classroom. They moved all her stuff out of her trailer and into a corner of a room in the high school, which is good, but she's so pregnant she needs our help with the heavy stuff.

She said the nursery is finished, too, so I'll post a picture of Lainey's room tomorrow night!
