Dancing and Pain
Even before Pastor Darrell pointed out that the prodigal son's homecoming was no happy celebration for the fatted calf, I've been thinking a lot lately about how even good things sometimes have their downside, but you've gotta be brave and GO FOR IT anyway. Life itself is a mixed blessing, isn't it?
I'm not a country music fan, but I love the line in the old Garth Brooks song, The Dance--
I COULD HAVE MISSED THE PAIN,
BUT I'D OF HAD TO MISS THE DANCE.
Not proper grammar, but you get the point. Life is a mixed blessing. Dancing and pain. Pain and dancing.
I'm sooooo glad life is short, and then we have ETERNITY where it's ALL dancing and NO pain, aren't you?!

I AM A BIG COUNTRY MUSIC FAN! love me some Garth-he also says in that song. "when your talking to the man up stairs, Just because he may not answer doesn't mean he don't care. Sometimes Gods greatsest gifts are unanswered prayers."
