I'm Alive! (REVISED)

It finally warmed up enough to take the boys to a nearby school playground, and I found wi-fi here! It has been too cold until today to get out, except to go to the great McDonald's playground down the road. They love to play with my iPod, though, and dance and sing. Taegan knows the "Yes, Lord" part of "Trading My Sorrows" from his Christian preschool, where they "go to church" every week. It's fast-paced and interactive, sounds a lot like our VBS . (It costs $1300-1500 a month to have them there--can you imagine that in Arkansas? Of course, they make $200,000 a year between the two of them. It's another world out here.) We have sweet prayers at night, too. Taegan calls Jody '"Daddy" now.

I'm happy that we got to help Jody and Shannon out by babysitting, but I miss YOU, my dear friends, terribly!

Jody and Shannon will be home by naptime today, and we'll ALL take naps! (Shannon called from their layover in Phoenix and said they've been up since 4 a.m.)
They have a DVD of their wedding, and I can't wait to see it. They had a stretch limo, their names in lights, a nice minister, and a funny Elvis. He said it was a great experience!

The good thing: Whenever I can sneak in a break, I read my Bible and it refreshes me.

The bad thing: I'd forgotten how easy it is to become a human garbage disposal when you have little kids. "You don't want your french fries? Here, I'll take them. You don't want the rest of your cookie? I'll take it. You don't want ice cream? Well, I DO!!"
Joe wants to go to a big golf place to look for some new golf shoes, and he and Jody might even play golf tomorrow (it's suppose to get up in the 50s).

We'll probably start home Tuesday, and get back Wednesday in time for the worship small group, which I REALLY missed last Wednesday. I'm getting ready to read Mark's blog now, though.

I love you, bloggerbuddies!

Gee - I've missed you terribly - that's hilarious about being a human garbage can - it's really true - I do it, too - or have to try really hard NOT to. Hilarious!!! I'm so glad you got to blog and I really do miss it - wow !
