There's No Place Like Home!
I got to spend some time with Spring and Mark and Darrell in a planning meeting this afternoon, and that helped me readjust to being home again.
Yesterday was hard. We left Denver right after Jody went to work. First we went up to the nursery and just LOOKED at Charlie in his crib for awhile. He kept struggling to open his eyes, but he couldn't quite do it. We didn't kiss him, although we wanted to, because we figured Shannon, who was asleep, wouldn't like it if we woke him up for real. Finally we tore ourselves away, tiptoed back down the stairs, and drove away, wondering when we'd see him again and how different he would look next time.
.
We miss him. But we're ok.
