CHARLIE

The boys are doing good. I am having a lot of fun with Charlie. He’s a funny kid. His latest trick is sock puppet monsters. He puts a sock on his arm and points it at you and growls like a monster trying to scare you. He had the daycare people cracking up. He is really sweet. He gives unexpected kisses a lot, and pats the couch beside him when he wants me to sit down with him. Its too cute. He is talking nonstop too. Still doesn’t know a ton of words, but he talks constantly. He comprehends well though, and is a real big helper. He throws his dirty diapers away and will go get a clean one for you if you ask him to.

I miss him! We plan to go out to Denver for his birthday June 1, unless they come here.

There were four boys there who were bigger than I am, so mostly I liked watching them play from a distance.

There were all kinds of interesting things at Mickey Ds, like this french fry chair! Grammy was feeding me yogurt, but sometimes I'd sneak one of Papaw's fries. (I mostly just stuck them in ketchup and sucked the ketchup off.)

Annette

I love this blanket Annette gave me so much that I made a teddy bear corner in my living room.

It was 23 years ago tomorrow that Annette and I made a covenant to be friends forever. She moved 2 1/2 years later, but through all her moves we've stayed as close as ever. In that time we've raised our children, seen our grandchildren born, and made many trips together, including the mother of all trips, Israel!

Thanks for 23 great years together, Annette! I love being your old friend!!
