Brrrr!

It's almost April, but it snowed a lot here in Denver, and Daddy had to shovel a long time to get out of the driveway to go to work!

Lainey's New Red Car

Mommy brought me to Clarksville today, and she and Grammy took me to Wal-Mart and bought me a red car like Grammy's!

Too sleepy to drive anymore. Gotta take a nap!

WE'RE OFF AND RUNNING!

This morning someone took this picture of Ann Ford and Debby Scoggins and me in the clothes that will be defining our lives for the next few weeks.

My son-in-law designed this t-shirt for our first Clarksville Running/Walking Clinic, and over 100 women have ordered one. The thing around my neck is a card reminding me when to blow the whistle. Today’s schedule called for running 2 min. and walking 3 for 30 minutes. I took about half of the women out on the road while Ann and Deb took the walkers around a big parking lot. Our course took us down to the high school track, where we did one lap, and back. It was fun!

And get a load of these “compression tights” I bought at a running store! They‘re supposed to keep your muscles from getting tired, and for $80, they‘d better be magic! It’s a struggle to put them on because you have to pull them up a little at a time like pantyhose. I figure if they don’t help me run better, they’ll at least make me look like I COULD if I wanted to!

I’m still a little overwhelmed by the huge response to our first clinic, and I don’t know WHAT I’d do without my great leaders! One is Irene Sisk, an old and faithful friend, who was the first one to say she'd help me. Ann and Deb are sisters, and they've done the clinic in Conway, so they're very experienced. Jane Hicks is a twice-cancer survivor, and she emailed and volunteered to help. She’s planning to walk a marathon with her daughters in San Diego in a few months!

I’m so blessed that God brought these women into my life! Without their help I would have been committed to “The Home for the Bewildered” by now!

Our statewide 5K race is May 9, which is Mother’s Day weekend. My daughter plans to come and run it with us, and my best friend Annette and her daughter Emily are coming, too! Is that cool or what?

I feel like I’m living in Rom. 5:5 in The Message:--“We can’t round up enough containers to hold everything God generously pours into our lives through the Holy Spirit.”

New Picture of Charlie

Daddy took this picture of me this morning when he took me to day care. I won't be going to day care much longer because Mommy is going to quit work and stay home with me!

OUTSIDE IS THE BEST PLACE TO BE!
